Introduction
Starting
with
Issues 99 and
100 of the first series and on into the relaunch
of the second series, every reader will be up to speed, despite the
fact that this book has been around a long time. Each new issue has
40 pages with some 36 pages of story...more story per issue than
mainstream titles. You can sit down (or curl-up as She-Cat would
say) and enjoy a nice long read, because these issues are available
for back order. There are a variety of characters, each with
distinctive personalities, and you're bound to find a favorite or
two.
AC Comics started publishing in 1982, and after experimenting with a
variety of titles, began releasing FEMFORCE in 1985. With the
emphasis on female lead heroes, good story-telling and
characterization and a dash of humor, it was so popular with the
fans that it became AC's flagship title. The title first shipped
bi-monthly, then monthly and finally reached
No. 100. Male support
cast members include The Sentinels of Justice, The Justice Squad (a
hilarious bunch) and the golden-age heroes (and heroines) from Dr.
Weir's Vault.
