In the cover and lead spot for the first time ever this issue, The Hooded Horseman slaps leather to avoid becoming “Buzzard Bait!”, an 8-page oater lushly illustrated by Ogden Whitney. Durango Kid teachers a young man to stand up for himself in “Get Out of My Sight!!”, drawn by Fred Guardineer, and comic’s original Ghost Rider, The Haunted Horseman learns the grim secret behind “The Haunted Portrait!!”, with art by Dick Ayers. Frank Bolle contributes artistically on “Reward for Redmask”, co-starring The Black Phantom, and Bob Powell’s Bobby Benson and his B-Bar-B Riders play out the drama “Bobby Wins His Spurs!”. All this plus plus short features “Blackjack’s Hitching Post”, and Tales of The Haunted Horseman- “Tortures of the Damned”, also by Ayers. 44 pages of great full-stopry Western reprints from the original Magazine Enterprises, Charlton, and ACG comics of the 1950’s.
