The Mystic Miss of the Femforce, Nightveil returns to appear in her own solo adventures in this great initial issue of the second volume of her own comic book series to accompany her adventures in the regular Femforce title. First, a visit to pay respects to the dearly departed erupts into pitched battle with the hideous demon known as Rakmathon, in “A visit to Old Friends”, written by Paul Melette with art by Shawn Surface. Then, Nightveil and Synn must brave the maddening realm of The Limbo Void to return the Prima Gem to safety, and thwart the designs of Alizarin Crimson once and for all in a story that picks up where Femforce #116 left off, and leads in to what is yet to come in Femforce #123. Art and story by Bill Black. Then, a special return feature- “For the Sake of What Should Have Been”, (originally seen in the now-completely-sold-out Femforce Up Close #1) Back in 1992, a still-unstable Synn looked to be a threat to all those around her, but when the government takes steps to place her under wraps, Nightveil risks all to help her remain free. Story and inks by Mark Heike, pencils by Dave Roberts. Black and white with color covers, 36 pages, 6 1/8″ X 10″, printed in 2003

A Halloween Special!! All new material this issue, NO reprints!! It’s Halloween Night, (Actually, a continuation of events that started in Femforce #42.) and She-Cat, Synn, Stardust and Jennifer Burke(the new Ms. Victory) are lurking about a graveyard to hear Nightveil tell ghost stories. And NV does not dissappoint, as she weaves a tale of spirits who have landed in The Haunted Horseman’s Limbo Void. “Danse Macabre!” is the story of two beautiful gold-diggers who turn to murder, and then pay for their crimes. Written by Bill Black, with wild “good girl art” by Dick Ayers and Mark Heike. Horror meets sexy glamour in a well-crafted saga. Then, “Nightveil” conjures up The Haunter himself ( AC,s revival and continuation of the Magazine Enterprises original Ghost Rider, from the Golden Age.) to relate his origin in “Haunted Trails”. Written by Bill Black, drawn by Dick Ayers and inked by Black. Color cover by Dick Ayers and Bill Black, interiors are black and white with graytones. Printed in 1991.

ALL COLOR!!! Born to wealthy parents, Laura Wright enjoyed the easy life of a young socialite- until the onset of World War II. Her involvement with and apparent death of a young government espionage agent inspired her to adopt costume and mask as The Blue Bulleteer ,( Heavily influenced by actual Fox Features Golden Age character, The Phnatom Lady.) and fight the foes of democracy. Years later, at age 40, Laura was all but finished as a crime-fighter, when her life was altered by thr quasi-dimensional being known as Azagoth. She would train for years in the arcane arts, have her youth restored, and return as …Nightveil, Sorceress Supreme !! One of AC’s most popular protagonists, and a future member of both the Sentinels Of Justice and the Femforce, she is actually the continuation of the PL character publisher Bill Black used for years in his successful Paragon Pubs line of black and white magazines. This book picks up right where events left of in Fun Comics #4,as NV has her climactic battle with the undead wizard king, Tharu-Oron, in “The Veil Rips”. It is written by Steve Ringgenberg, and drawn by Mark Heike. The visuals on this tale are unique- since it takes place on three different planes of reality, three separate art reproductions are employed- fully painted pencil renderings for Dark Dhagor, standard inked line art for Earth, and half-toned finished pencils with flat printed color for the void between dimensions. A printing experiment not seen before or since. Then, a second story utilizing traditional comic art- “Deathstalk!” At home in her Everglades sanctum after her other-dimensional battles, Nightveil must stave off the attack of the hideous she-demon Gorgana!! Story by Steve Ringgenberg, drawn by Mark Heike and inked by Bill (Elementals)Anderson. Interior cover text bio of Nightveil, back cover pinup by Dave Matthews and John Beatty. Color cover by Paul Gulacy, interiors are all color. 36 pages, standard comic book format. Printed in 1984.
