I recently picked up the Golden Age Hero And Heroine Directory. I read about The Masked Marvel. I did a quick AC search and BINGO!
What a weird Western hero. Another forgotten character saved from being lost to time.

Any fan of Italian spaghetti westerns would recognize the influence the movie Django had on the Black Phantom story in this issue. The team of Teodorani/ Conversano might have seen that movie once or twice in their youth.
