A new double-feature disc containing two of the most obscure SF films from the heyday of the drive-in! First, PHAROAH’s CURSE centers on an expedition into Egypt’s Valley Of The Kings, where it’s members meet horor in the form of a rapidly-aging youth who is possessde by the mummified ancient intirred within the tomb. ZIVA RODANN plays the beautiful stranger who leads the archeologists to their doom, MARK DANA is the hero and DIANE BREWSTER is the lady in danger. This 1957 black & white film runs 66 minutes. Next up is the ultra-rare HAND OF DEATH. Working in his remote desert laboratory, scientist JOHN AGAR develops a gas he believes will avert nuclear war. But his science is fawlty. Instead this gas turn him into a horrible bloated monster whose touch means instant death. Transformed, Agar now looks like The Thing from FANTASTIC FOUR comics. Returning to the city to get help from colleague ROY GORDON, Agar accidently kills him instead. This puts his beautiful girl friend (PAULA RAYMOND) and fellow scientist (STEVE DUNN) in mortal danger. Also in the cast is Joe Besser and young Butch Patrick (Please note that because HAND OF DEATH is so rare, no high-quality digital source for this DVD exists, so there are minor flaws endemic to the original film source, hence this version is not as perfect as our normal standard for DVD presentations, but the film is complete and still highly watchable.) HAND OF DEATH stars JOHN AGAR – PAULA RAYMOND – STEVE DUNN Directed by Gene Nelson B&W – 1962 – Approx 61 Min.
