I think it’s neat how Yankee Girl became a fan favorite supporting character.
She had, what, one appearance in the golden age? It’s great that she got such a successful “second life” with AC.

Which makes me think there might be a good story in exploring the shared name someday…I’ll have to file that thought for possible later use.
This whole “Yankee Girl” name thing is confusing on the Golden Age stuff, on several levels. GA art-shop mayven and sometimes-publisher Harry “A” Chesler put out some of his own comics sporadically through the 1940′s, under a number of publishing imprints. In addition to the red, white & blue costumed superheroine, he also published at least ONE story that was titled “Yankee Girl” that actually featured the adventures of a flight attentant!! No costume- no superpowers. We really WILL need to get our hands on all the Chesler GA books that list any sort of “Yankee Girl” in the contents some day, and straughten this out.
Garsh. I may have to actually DIG OUT those two books and check it out once and for all!
I bought the Stars & Stripes Forever graphic novel. They contain simliar stories. Is this worth buying also?
The only story that is in BOTH “Stars and Stripes Forever” and “Timestorm” is the 6-page 1947 Chesler reprint- other than that, the contents of those two books are completely different.
