UPDATE: AC COMICS Oct 03, 2020

Posted on Categories:AC Comics Home, AC Comics News

Still here. Still working on comics. We are fine, no coronavirus.  We only go out to get groceries and stuff.

Comic book orders still go out via USPS Monday-Friday.  Again, we always urge you to support retailers and buy your new AC Comics from them, but if you can’t find AC back issues, we have most of them here on our shop.

In addition to that, you can find some original comic pages and art–

Bill is selling stuff here.

Mark and Stephanie are selling stuff here.

Stay safe out there!

UPDATE: 10/3/20

Still incredo-busy working on awesome new stuff! Working on Superbabes #6 cover this week.

Femforce #189  is up on the shop.

UPDATE: 9/13/20

Not much new, busy working on new stuff!

UPDATE: 9/01/20

Still fine, still working like crazy. Superbabes # 4 and Femforce #189  ARE at your comic book shops!

AC shop orders go out when we get them, via USPS M-F (unless someone orders a huge amount for an overseas order and we have to send it via DHL–but we haven’t had one of those in a couple of years, thankfully. Took us four hours round trip.)

UPDATE: 8/28/20

Still don’t have the new color books , Superbabes # 4 or Femforce #189 in yet. They ARE at your comic book shops!
We are furiously working…

UPDATE: 8/23/20

We have only four copies left  of Femforce #179, so we had to mark it up. Still don’t have Superbabes # 4 or Femforce #189 in yet. Hate wearing stupid masks at the grocery. Not one but TWO tropical storms in the Gulf. Otherwise, we’re fine.

UPDATE: 8/14/20

Femforce #165 is sold out. Still don’t have Superbabes # 4 or Femforce #189 in yet.

UPDATE: 8/06/20

Superbabes # 4 is in stores NOW!

We are fine, working on comics.

UPDATE: 8/03/20

Huh? I thought I updated that–but the header says “July 22nd?” YEEK!  Anyway, yes, we are fine. We go out once a week for groceries. Orders go out when Mark fills them–if there’s a book he has to look for, it may take a day or two to mail out, but we currently don’t have any orders. Tropical storm fizzled.

UPDATE: 8/01/20

Men of Mystery #115 is in the Diamond catalog right now for ordering! Golden Age Men of Mystery Spotlight Special #20 focusing on Fawcett will be in comic shops in a few weeks. Still working on comics.

Golden Age Greats Spotlight Special #20 July/ August.
21st Centurions #3 August/September
Femforce #190 September/ October

UPDATE: 7/11/20  Men of Mystery #114 and Femforce #189 are in comic stores NOW! No, we don’t have or have even seen ANY copies of Femforce #189 yet. We do have Men of Mystery #114, which will be up on the shop next week.

UPDATE: 7/04/20  Happy Fourth of July!

UPDATE: 7/01/20  Still working. Seen this on superheroes?  The Big Two have bent themselves into pretzels appealing to the rampaging PC/SJW crowd, yet it gets them nothing.

UPDATE: 6/26/20  Not much news, just busy. We are still taking precautions, since we are running errands and assisting with vulnerable people. Not going out much at all BUT we are getting work done.

UPDATE: 6/22/20  Hope you had a nice weekend!  We’re still here and still working!

UPDATE: 6/19/20  Hi folks! Had some security updates on the site. Everything’s working fine, but it’s not as pretty as we’d like.

UPDATE: 6/18/20  Again, we’d like to thank you folks for your orders! We really appreciate it!

UPDATE: 6/17/20  Men of Mystery #114 has also shipped to Diamond Distribution. That means both books will be in comic book stores in a couple of weeks. Men of Mystery #114 will probably be a week later than Femforce #189.

UPDATE: 6/15/20  Femforce #189 has shipped to Diamond. Unlikely we will get it in the store soon because it’s a color book, so please back-order it from your local comic shop.

UPDATE: 6/14/20  Happy birthday to Editor in Chief, Mark!

May 29th, 2020 AC Comics Scheduling Update

Posted on Categories:AC Comics Home, AC Comics News

Thanks to all the great AC fans who have called and emailed during this COVID-19 quarantine. Everyone here is fine and healthy and production has continued almost uninterrupted.

If anyone is wondering about the two AC books that HAD been scheduled to ship during the shutdown period (FEMFORCE #189 and Men of Mystery #114), both are sitting here completed and can go to our printers’ (who are likewise up and running and ready to move forward with them), but we’ve had to put them on “hold” at the request of our distributor, Diamond Comics.

They had been shut down for almost two months, and not able to accept new product from publishers, OR ship out new comics to retail stores during that time. Now that they have reopened, Diamond wants to allow retailers to adjust their orders on these two books, to give flexibility to owners of stores not yet reopened, or those who have, but may have lost customers during the enforced “time out”. Once Diamond has collected those revised pre-sale numbers, they will give them to us and we can go ahead and print and ship the books to them for distribution to stores.

Exactly WHEN that information will come to us, we do not yet know- but as soon as it DOES, rest assured we’ll get those books onto the presses ASAP, so they can go out to your stores. When they do, our regular release schedule will be caught up and everything should go back to coming out in it’s regular rotation through comic shops. Please try to bear with us through this rather unique situation.

Mark

UPDATE: 5/20/20 AC Still Corona Free in Florida!

Posted on Categories:AC Comics Home, AC Comics News

Still here. Still working on comics. Still no Wu-Flu.  Comic book orders can still go out Monday-Friday.  Again, we always urge you to support retailers and buy your new AC Comics from them, but if you can’t find AC back issues, we have most of them here.   Stay safe out there!

UPDATE: 5/20/20

21st Centurions #2 ships from Diamond to comic shops NEXT week, Wen May 27th!

UPDATE: 5/18/20

We’re still fine–no Wu-flu.

Still waiting on “official Diamond schedule”  to release updated dates for new comics.

UPDATE: 5/14/20

We’re still healthy. Thank you for ordering! We really appreciate it!

Still waiting on “official Diamond schedule”  to release updated dates for new comics.

UPDATE: 5/13/20

Mark did an interview with First Comics news on his fortieth anniversary in the comics field!

The first one is here…
And the interview is here…

UPDATE: 5/09/20

Still wearing our gloves and masks to the grocery stores, still can’t go eat-in at restaurants but otherwise pretty normal for us.  Metro Orlando has less than fifty cases. Still no “Wu-Flu” here at AC.

STILL waiting on news from Diamond on distribution– so until we hear something, we can’t ship out new comics.

We have all of our available back issues since 1982 for sale on the AC shop.. If you can’t find something you’re looking for,  contact us.

UPDATE: 5/07/20

It’s a lot closer to normal here in Florida. Lot of out of state license tags and people driving crazy on roads. We’ve seen a major single car wreck. We’re still status quo.

Still say this darn coronavirus was the “mysterious vaping disease” reported late in the summer last year. No need for a shutdown.

UPDATE: 5/04/20

Well, all the stores and restaurants are back open today in Florida , looks like this stupid thing is OVAH! YAY!

Still got to wear masks and gloves plus wait on other states restoring SHIPPING before our distributor is back to normal, but we are fine, our relatives are fine and our cat is fine.

Will post upcoming AC 2020 Schedule later, to give you an idea of what books to look out for.

UPDATE: 5/01/20

Update: Got address corrected! All orders as of Noon today are shipped out to you! Thank you!

We’ve made it to May! Still no Covid-19. Thank you so much for your back issue orders. Someone got an address wrong, because the USPS says no such address. We emailed you, hope you email us back..

Florida is opening back up–but we’re waiting on other states regarding comic book stores and distribution–which is completely out of our hands!

UPDATE: 4/29/20

Still busy helping out. Takes something like seven to eight hours a week grocery shopping, but it’s worth it.  Yes, we take extra precautions with gloves and masks.  Not much new otherwise.

UPDATE: 4/27/20

Hi. Thank you for ordering from us! Thank you! Thank you! We really appreciate it!

Normally, I’d say we get all orders placed over the weekend out on Monday, but –it just might take us ’till Tuesday to get your order out–we have a lot of things to do!

Still no Wu-Flu here, we’re fine but we are tired of all this.

UPDATE: 4/24/20

All back issue orders went out today! Thank you for ordering!

Still no COVID-19 or Wu-Flu. Still doing good social distancing and working on comics. Thanks for reading.

UPDATE: 4/22/20

Okay, bit early on hoping things are going back to normal, but still hoping. Thank you folks for ordering some back issues! They’ll all go in the mail tomorrow. We really appreciate it!

UPDATE: 4/21/20  ONLY NINE MORE DAYS! YAY!

YAAAAY! Only nine more days of this shutdown stuff!  Not that things will really be much different for us since we normally hardly go anywhere, LOL.

UPDATE: 4/20/20

Hi! Orders went out (except for the e-check one–still waiting!) and we avoided a tornado! Everything else is status quo. No COVID-19 here. Still working on comics in quarantine. Whoop-Whoop.

UPDATE: 4/19/20

Hi. Thanks for ordering from us, we really appreciate it!  Your comics are going out on Monday!

(Hopefully, that e-check will clear on Monday too. )

We’re fine, still no Wu-Flu but we are tired of all this.

UPDATE: 4/18/20

Hi folks. Yes, we’re still. here. Still no Wu-Flu.  Still working on comics. Orders placed over the weekend go out on Mondays. If you send us an e-check , we wait on that to clear before we send the order out.

UPDATE: 4/16/20

Not much of an update. I’m making the previous post a “sticky” and reposting it above. Scroll down here for all the daily updates since March 23.

UPDATE: 4/14/20

Still here. Still working. Still no Wu-Flu.

Comic book orders can still go out Monday-Friday.  Again, we always urge you to support retailers and buy your new AC Comics from them, but if you can’t find AC back issues, we have most of them here.

Stay safe out there!

UPDATE: 4/12/20

Happy Easter!

We’ve been busy with non-comics stuff.  Still no coronavirus here.

Sounds like the Texas Governor is going to reopen the state post- Wu-Flu next week. If this works, we may see a rollout of other less affected states, which means warehouses, which means comics to store distribution.

Diamond is already prepping for moving their schedule one month up, so we are too.

UPDATE: 4/10/20

Hoping for “non-essential” warehouses to reopen in a month or less.  The forced shutdown of those warehouses in individual states is all that that’s really standing between you and and new comic books. Diamond, the store owners and us here at AC Comics all want to get those comic books to you ASAP!

Yes, we didn’t post yesterday, we’re still corona-free, just busy!

UPDATE: 4/8/20

Still safe in Florida!  Still no coronavirus!

UPDATE: 4/7/20

Still no coronavirus here!

Again, thank you for ordering back issues, we really appreciate it. Orders will go out tomorrow or Thursday.  We hope you carefully open any packages and dispose the outer packaging which could be contaminated in transit.

Stay safe, forecast looks more positive!

UPDATE: 4/5/20

Still no coronavirus or CoVid-19 or the “Wu-Flu”.

With the big shut down, we are still here at AC Comics and STILL working on comic books.

Hope everyone is staying safe out there.

UPDATE: 4/4/20

Still no coronavirus! Still working on comics!

If you’re a retailer that’s somehow still open and you need our comics, contact us directly via email.

UPDATE: 3/31/20

Thank you for ordering!  We really appreciate it! We try to get those orders out to you next day and will continue to do so. We hope you carefully open any packages and dispose the outer packaging which could be contaminated in transit.

We are still doing fine here with no coronavirus. We are taking every heath precaution we can to continue working on comics.

As most of you know by now, Diamond distribution is shutting down so no new comics are going through comic shops starting tomorrow (04/01/20), just re-orders through comic stores.

Again, we always urge you to support retailers and buy your new AC Comics there, but if you can’t find our AC back issues, we have most of them here.

UPDATE: 3/29/20

Hey Folks! It’s beautiful and sunny in Florida! We are still here and still healthy!  Comic book orders can still go out Monday-Friday.

3/23/20

If you’re wondering, we’re still Corona free in Florida! We at AC Comics are staying in and ever busy, working away on comics for you!

We are still shipping comics to Diamond and filling a few website orders, so it’s business as usual for us–just the outside world that’s different.

Do we NEED to add–support your local comic shops! They are open right now! They have gloves and hand sanitizers! Others now have curbside service where you don’t even have to get out of your car!

We prefer that you buy AC Comics from your retailers–whether they are on-line or local shops.

Some people who waited to “buy direct” from us–have been upset at the higher prices of the color books on the shop. We have to –because those are comics that we paid for TWICE–once to print and once to buy from our local comic shop.

We are all are better off when you pre-order our AC comic books!

During the halcyon days of the 1940’s, FAWCETT COMICS vied with DC/NATIONAL for the top of the American comic book market, and it was not only it’s wildly-successful stable of MARVEL FAMILY characters that kept comic readers forking over their dimes, but the top-flight staff of creators who brought them to life, as well. MISS X, LADY FAIRPLAY(her origin!!), WILDFIRE, PAT PATRIOT, BLUE LADY, BLACK ORCHID and 13 other classic adventuress’!! Artists include Baker, Crandall, Mooney, Kamen, Moriera and other greats.
Special Notes: None

AC’s last all-female “Women of Mystery” issue of Men of Mystery did so well, we just had to come back with another, so April’s Men of Mystery #114 will be “girls only” once again, with a host of never-before-seen vintage stories starring some of the rarest distaff adventurers of comicdom’s formative years.
Of course, we CAN’T do an issue of MOM without showcasing some character we’ve NEVER reprinted before, so this issue will feature MISS X, Fox Features’ first attempt at a masked/costumed heroine, from her guest-appearances in Mystery Men Comics. (We’ll also be including two “newbies” originally scheduled for MOM #113- MARGO THE MAGICIAN and DIANA THE HUNTRESS, who were both bumped from #113 at the last second due to production problems. We’ve got that all ironed out now, so they will finally see the light of day this issue.)
We’ll also be including some never previously reprinted stories of seldom-seen heroines who have previously made only one or two appearances in MOM, including LADY FAIRPLAY ( here in her origin story); PAT PATRIOT ( drawn by Reed Crandall, in one of his first professional art jobs); WILDFIRE- Jim Mooney and Bob Turner’s seminal “good girl” art superheoine ( in the LAST WF story left that we’ve never run); The BLUE LADY- Centaur Comics’ oddball adventuress; The BLACK ORCHID (NOT the one produced by Continental Pubs, but a completely different one-shot heroine that ran in All New Comics); plus MISS VICTORY; CATMAN’s partner, KITTEN; TIGER GIRL, Matt Baker’s VOODAH, BLONDE BOMBER and more.
Artists on this issues’ features (aside from the aforementioned) include Ralph Mayo, Ruben Moriera, Jack Kamen, Jill Elgin, Frank Frollo, Rudy Palais, Jack Ryan, Klaus Nordling, Ken Battefield, Charles Quinlan and others.
Another important volume shedding light on the history of the female adventure hero in comics’ first decade- don’t miss it. Men of Mystery #114, 140 black and white pages inside a full-color reworked Joe Doolin cover; standard comic book size, saddle stitched, at $29,95. Coming in April, 2020, from AC Comics
