	GARGANTA At AC Comics, it all started in Issue #30 of FEMFORCE when scientist Dr. Carol Heisler was experimenting with a formula to create more heroes to combat the evil Black Shroud. She was working on a variation of the famous V-47 vitamin formula, developed by bio-geneticist Joan Wayne to boost the strength of our forces in WWII. The formula never worked on anyone but Joan and her daughter... by taking it Joan Wayne became the powerful Ms. Victory and her daughter gained super powers when she took V-47 years later. When Dr. Heisler ingested her new variation of this formula, she grew into the 50 foot giant known as GARGANTA. She has since learned to adjust her size by mind control, but if she becomes extremely angry, she loses this control and begins to grow. Her constant antagonist is the selfish, money hungry STELLA STARGAZE, who manipulates GARGANTA for her own financial gain. Although not a FEMFORCE member, GARGANTA works closely with the group and has appeared in many FEMFORCE stories.
	TARA of FEMFORCE TARA is a regular member of the FEMFORCE team. She was once the only regular member without any super powers, although her expertise in the environment (plants, animals, bodies of water, earth terrains etc.) and her tracking and fighting skills were invaluable resources. However, unbeknownst to her, she was given "The Garganta Formula" as a publicity stunt to promote a new material called SPAN-XX. Expected to grow only a small amount, to demonstrate the wonder fabric, Tara grew right through the roof! She has retained the ability to grow and with the help of Dr. Heisler, has learned to control her size-changing ability to some extent, although not as well as GARGANTA. Her origin was told in the AC title, Good Girl Art Quarterly #5.
	SYNN and NIGHTVEIL Two other FEMFORCE members have appeared as giant women although this ability is not a power as much as an illusion. Nightveil can become giant through her magic abilities and Synn can create the illusion that she is a giant. Some stories have used this plot device to good effect.
