The best issue yet!! 6 full classic Western comic book story reprints from the top publishers of the cowboy theme during it’s heyday of the 1940’s-1950’s. Cover features REDMASK opens the all-out action with “The False Alarm Crimes”, as drawn by Frank Bolle, originally seen in Magazine Enterprises’ Best of the West #12 (original series). Then it’s M. E.’s original ghost rider, THE HAUNTED HORSEMAN in “Death By Flame”, as originally presented in Tim Holt #22; followed by “Durango’s Stolen Steed”, a DURANGO KID adventure illustrated by Joe Certa and John Belfi. Prize Comic’s BLACK BULL makes in appearance, in “One-Man Posse”, from Prize Western #85- beautifully illustrated by John Severin and Will Elder. The LEMONADE KID takes to the trail in “No Locks To Murder”, drawn by Bob Powell, from an issue of Bobby Benson’s B-Bar-B Riders; and finally a rollicking romp with KITTY CARSON, the ruff-ridin’ gal sheriff, as she deals with “Indian Revenge”, also illustrated by Bob Powell. An Ed Good MONTE HALE short, “Goodbye Old Paint”, and movie stills from “The Desert Horseman”, “Ghost of Zorro”, “Desert Vigilante”, “Death Valley Gunfighter”, “California Firebrand”, and “Bells of San Angelo” round out the issue. 44 pages, black & white with color covers.
